Private golf courses in Madrid have a rather peculiar approach to visitors. They aren’t particularly keen on them. They don’t reply to emails in advance, so you have no choice but to ring them or turn up on the off chance. However, if you’re determined and want to play this course at any cost, you won’t be disappointed when it comes to the golf itself. Let’s leave aside the fact that it costs 35 euros per person to drive into the vast park and the weekend green fee is 260 euros! The course was in excellent condition at the start of August, despite temperatures of around 40 degrees. The opening drive downhill through the trees is no easy feat. The course is undulating, with superb bunkers and excellent greens.

With 34,000 members, this is one of the largest sports and leisure clubs in Madrid. It features two 18-hole courses: 27 holes designed by Javier Arana and 9 by Seve Ballesteros. Currently, the 9 holes designed by Seve are being redesigned.

The property is huge, with tennis courts, padel courts, a polo field, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, bowls, croquet, and much more. If you want to play on the golf courses, there is a ballot system due to the high number of members compared to available tee times. Additionally, if you are a 2- or 3-ball, they will always add players to your group. We had a great time playing with one of the members, who gave us excellent tips on the course.

The Negro (black) course is very playable, and balls in the rough are easily found. There is a lot of undulation, and the first tee early in the morning is magnificent. I really enjoyed playing here and am curious about the soon-to-be-finished Yellow course.

The course has hosted several Spanish Opens and will do so again in September 2024. Be sure to check out the 18th hole, where they usually set the tee on the front tee box, allowing players to try to drive the 290-meter uphill par 4—very spectacular!

Beautiful and challenging course. It is in high demand so expect a full party and some traffic. Pace of play is important and closely monitored.

Definitely not in the Hospitality category.

Never felt so unwelcome at a golf course!

The staff is not prepared for non members, there are no rental clubs, there is a 14€ entrance fee that is not mentioned anywhere.

For a greenfee of 150€ you would expect at least a smile, but no, it was like an alien landed and asked to play golf.

They went to get someone's clubs and "borrowed" them for 36€...

So, altogether 200€.

But, after I paid they informed that I may only play 9 holes or I had to wait 2 hours to play the back 9 after finishing the front 9, as there were no tee times available.
