This is a great course. I had heard people referring to it as 'Australia's Augusta'. This set expectations and I must say the course certainly met them. Immaculate maintenance / conditions and a challenging and fun lay-out. Compared to other courses in the area, it is a fairly punchy investment to play here but I think it is worth it.
Holes 7 and 11 are certainly memorable, but they are all great.
The club does not allow people to walk the course so buggies are mandatory. This seemed strange at first but the terrain is so huge that it certainly makes sense.
As the single downside I note that the staff / marshall have their own ideas on etiquette and particularly pace of play.
Food in the restaurant is amazing and reasonably priced. Hotel rooms are mediocre, but located immediately next to the first fairway and the driving range so that is very convenient.

Bonville is a beautiful resort course 6-6.5 hours drive north of Sydney. A stunning area in Coffs Harbour with lots of things to do for the whole family.
The golf course is impressive with its layout in the middle of all the natural vegetation growing. There is a lot of wildlife living on the course including kangaroos, birds, lizards and even koalas!
A definite cart/electric buggy course due to the long walks between holes!
The guys in the pro shop are very friendly and have great gear in the shop so make sure you check it out!

Bonville Golf Resort is very pretty, with lots of nature surrounding the course. When I was there we were lucky and spotted a few Koalas in the trees, but also some reptiles! It's a tree lined course with a lot of slopes. This isn't a problem though, as you have to use a cart. Solid golf course, definitely looking forward to playing here again!
