Growling Frog GC.
Worth making the trip out of to if you live in Melbourne town!
A wonderful location for this course. Although housing development is etching closer and closer to this site, you still have the sensation of being a million miles away.
The course has a hint of links to it, very picturesque with the natives bushland as it's surrounds.
Plenty of native animals call growling frog home, many tourists will love the abundance of kangaroos.
The first hole is drive-able for the big hitters as are some of the other par 4's here.
It may not have a great deal of directional change or elevation change but what it lacks in this department it makes up for is design, especially with and against the wind as the area is very open.
The par 4 4th and par 5 8th are great holes with the 4th having a set of bunkers at 220m to carry for best position into a dogleg green, the 8th is massive at 506m into a head wind, offset green sloping away to the left makes a tough 3rd shot in.
The run home of 16 - 18 is fantastic with a great Par3,4,4 mix flat, downhill and uphill 18th with a tricky green to land on once the fairway bunkers have been avoided.
