Casa Serena Golf

Casa Serena is undoubtedly one of the best courses in the Czech Republic. In my opinion, it’s the absolute best. It’s a shame that fewer than 2,000 people play this course each year. There’s a limit of just 20 commercial tournaments per year. Individual requests don’t stand much of a chance of being approved. The entire course is set in beautiful countryside. From the very first hole, you’ll notice the perfect quality of the fairways and the newly redesigned bunkers with their white, fine sand. The front nine is played behind a not-too-busy road. The back nine is also divided by a road. The area surrounding the fairways and greens is shaped by undulating terrain. The fairways often feature slight inclines or declines. Getting to Casa Serena is an experience in itself.

Difficult to rate. This course is beautiful, lays in great nature. Quality of the course is without doubts great, there might be few small things but nothing important. Course is well maintained. Faiways are wide enough and greens are huge with great speed. Keep on fairway. Anything in rough is almost lost, hit provisional then. What is sad that this course is empty, I understand why but I still believe that such a beauty should be accesible. Even if you try organize tournament there it is a bit out of the limits. Recepcionist there are not much supportive. Restaurant staff is great and helpfull, good an tasty food. Overall it is sad look to come and see how empty this place is and feelings out of the casual visit is somehow not filled with golf happiness.

So much fuss about this golf course... don't get me wrong it is a very good golf course but by my opinion far from special. And considering the fact the owner is literally one of the reachest people in the world and the founds are unlimited I expected a bit more. Layout is good maintainance also.

Still well recommended if you get a chance to play the course.
