Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf

Mooie baan, we liepen 18 holes en het begin is prachtig maar dat neemt helaas wel af. De tweede 9 holes zijn minder bijzonder. Ook veel vlakker.

¡Una joya imprescindible en Málaga! El Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf es un auténtico espectáculo. A solo 15 minutos del centro, combina un mantenimiento impecable con un ambiente de club de toda la vida. • El recorrido: Brutal el contraste entre los primeros 9 hoyos (llanos y amigables) y los segundos 9 (muy técnicos, con agua y greens espectaculares rediseñados por Miguel Ángel Jiménez). Un reto divertidísimo para cualquier hándicap. • Las instalaciones: Greens rapidísimos, calles perfectas y una casa club en un cortijo andaluz precioso, ideal para disfrutar de una buena comida tras la partida. Un campo con alma, cuidado al detalle y con una hospitalidad de diez. ¡Obligatorio si estás por la Costa del Sol!

Flach aber nicht langweilig. Sehr schön gepflegte Fairways und Greens. Nicht sehr klare Wegeeisung und kaum lesbare Teeschilder die flach auf dem Boden legen.

Schöner Platz, geht gut zu Fuß. Sehr entspanntes Spiel zu (noch) fairen Preisen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Guadalhorce Golf is known for the Ladies European Tour tournament played there every year. The club is located close to Malaga airport, which does mean that planes fly overhead occasionally. The clubhouse has a beautiful, authentic appearance, despite having only existed since 1988. There is an excellent driving range where you can hit from grass and can clean your clubs. The course is well-maintained and the greens are simply fast and good. There is grain (grass grows in a specific direction) on the greens, and if you have a downhill putt—with grain and a tailwind—the putts are very fast. Particularly on the back nine, the greens are undulating and beautifully shaped, which makes putting truly interesting. The 12th hole is a nice, slight dogleg par 5 that can be reached in 2 shots. The green has several plateaus and is small and tricky. The 18th hole is a par 4 that slopes uphill towards the clubhouse, creating a beautiful scene. The green slopes steeply upwards and is very fast if you hit your ball past the flag. All in all, a wonderful experience to play this course.
