The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club

Played the championship course on a twilight round for £30 and what a bargain. I’ve paid that money to play course no where near as good as here. Greens were super fast and responsive. The course has lots of variety and is a well laid out track. Few risk and reward holes that only require a long iron from tee, not just a driver and a wedge course. Great facilities and the patio bar is another nice touch. I will certainly be visiting again when I’m back in Nottinghamshire.

Played a 4 ball earlier this week following an overnight downpour. Greens were in great condition, despite the overnight rain. A couple of holes on temporary greens due to ongoing maintenance. Some fairways were very wet which was understandable. My only criticism was the tees were a bit scruffy or on temporary mats. However this didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the round and we ended with an honourable draw. Would like to return in the summer, when I believe it will be a great test of your golf game.

General impression of the club is great, driving in feels like a proper good golf course with a very impressive club house. The course itself could do with a bit more work, quite a few areas of GUR and obviously the fairways have struggled with this summer but with a little bit of TLC this could be a really nice course.

Great choice of two courses, both equally as challenging.

Fantastic all round club, the two courses are always in great condition and although they share the same property they have quite different charecteristics. A must play if you are in the area.
