GeorgePlayed the George golfclub and we had a start time just before 9.00 o,clock. That we had more in the passed. However this year it was very busy and all 4 balls on the course. In the passed it was easy to play 4 hours and you could take your drinks . However today it was more the 5 hours because of slow play with the flight in front of us. We had never this and I hope that in the future this will not be again this slow play

GeorgeOp de website valt te lezen: "Elke ronde is meer dan alleen golf, het is een reis door glooiende fairways, torenhoge bomen en een spectaculair uitzicht op de bergen. Een plek waar het spel meer levend aanvoelt" en zo is het. Terug op deze fraaie baan is het weer genieten. Mooie brede fairways, goed onderhouden en prachtige snelle greens. Een parkbaan waarvan elke hole een uitdaging is vanwege de lay-out, de hoogteverschillen en de hindernissen als bunkers, bomen of water. De panorama's zijn bijzonder door de hoge bergen rondom. Lopend vraagt de baan om een goede conditie. Helaas liet ook deze keer de zon zich wat minder zien maar dat kwam de temperatuur ten goede. Veel hole-informatie door de baan is er niet.

GeorgeEen fraaie parkbaan net buiten het centrum van het stadje George. Met op de achtergrond de bergen van Outeniqua. Het is een oude golfclub maar in de afgelopen jaren veel vernieuwd. De fairways zijn breed en gemakkelijk te spelen. De rough daarentegen kent een grassoort die je clubs "grijpt" waardoor er uit spelen moeilijk is. Het clubhuis kent een wat vreemde indeling maar de mensen zijner vriendelijk en behulpzaam

GeorgeGreat experience to play here; lay out is nice and fantastic ; fairways were not that good because of the moles. Greens fair but not very fast and not very tricky
