Palm Garden Golf Club

Very good course in the Putrajaya area some 30 mins south of the city. Quite long and very hilly, with huge, undulating greens. Target-style design, with good strategy and accuracy required to find fairways, avoid the MANY bunkers, stay dry and get in a decent position to reach greens. Outstanding condition and beautifully presented with flowers everywhere, water lillies in the lakes etc. Views of the surrounding skyscrapers, and little if any noise from the nearby motorways. Great finishing hole!

Schitterende golfbaan die geweldig is onderhouden, Prachtige lay-out. Mooier dan TPC Kuala Lumpur. Snelle greens met een stimp van 10.5 op deze dag. Heuvelachtig parcours waarbij je op enkele plaatsen als gemiddelde golfer toch een behoorlijke carry over het water moet overbruggen van minimaal 160 meter. Caddie verplicht. Onbegrijpelijk dat buggies op de paden moeten blijven, zoals op heel veel golfbanen in Maleisië. Dit maakt het golf extra inspannend bij temperaturen van ruim 30 graden. Ik zou veel liever lopen, maar de caddie's willen niet dragen zoals in Thailand. Je loopt hierdoor meer, steeds naar beneden naar de fairway en dan weer omhoog naar de buggy. En dan maar hopen dat je de goede club bij je hebt. Ik snap dat golfreizen naar Maleisië niet echt van de grond komt op deze manier. Maar de baan is prachtig.

Palm garden is a beautiful designed golf course just outside Kuala Lumpur. If you want to play golf in Malaysia it is advised to start early say before 8.00 o'clock due to the humidity and temperature around 32. The course is well designed and in very good condition. Reception and staff are very helpful to ensure you have a nice round of golf. Fairways are very good end the Bermuda greens are fast and some practice on the putting green is recommended. Further take some additional ball as especially the 2nd 9 has lots of water hazards. Especially the Island green of the 17th hole. But don't worry enjoy the scenery and the surroundings. Overall enjoy your game in perfect conditions.

Prachtige baan. 18de hole beter te doen in het bijgelegen hotel resort dan het clubhuis. Men mag niet alleen spelen.
