Ocean View Golf Course

Ocean View is a nice 9 hole golf course which offers beautiful ocean views but unfortunately only on the 1st and 2nd hole which are both great holes. Nevertheless it is a good layout with lots of diversity and very likable Par-4's holes. Opening hole is a great reachable Par-5 with the Atlantic ocean on the left, followed by an excellent uphill Par-3 which is one of the best Par-3 holes on the island. Once on the green you will be rewarded with beautiful views. Two great Par-4 holes are following and Par-4 6th hole is right up there with the 3rd and 4th hole. The round finishes with solid mid length Par-3 below just the clubhouse.

The course was in good shape with no major complaints. Lovely clubhouse but a bit basic, the pro-shop was well stocked for its small size and the staff was very friendly.

Deze 9 holes golfbaan is opgericht door de blue collar workers op Bermuda die in het verleden niet welkom waren op de andere - meer elitaire - banen op Bermuda. Dit nog steeds merkbaar in de zeer ontspannen sfeer bij ontvangst en gedurende het spelen van de baan.

Sterke punten van de baan zijn de mooie heuvelachtige lay-out en het uitzicht op de oceaan vanaf de eerste tee. Ook het onderhoud is prima.

Zwakke punten zijn de korte en smalle driving range, de diverse blinde slagen waarbij onduidelijk is of de flight voor je nog binnen bereik is. Het ongevraagd leegruimen van de buggy en weggooien van persoonlijke bezittingen tussen de 9e en 10e hole was ook een minpunt.

Favoriete hole: 3e /12e hole.
