In the heart of the famous Margaux vineyards and close to the most prestigious châteaux of the Médoc, this 18-hole, par 71 golf course, modelled on the 45 hectares of the estate, is an undeniable attraction due to its exceptional environment: lined with elm and ash trees, the course is sometimes surrounded by lakes, sometimes bordered by the Gironde estuary. The numerous water hazards, the narrowness of its fairways and the judicious placement of its bunkers will remind us that modesty and humility are the watchwords of the wise golfer. MargauxPurtroppo siamo capitati nel periodo più sbagliato appena dopo una grande siccità.il campo si presenta con un bellissimo design purtroppo supportato male da condizioni come ho detto pessime ,sia del Fairways che dei Green. Abbiamo soggiornato nell’hotel che presenta evidenti segni di cattiva manutenzione e di pulizie sommarie, la presenza Di ragnatele ovunque denota trascuratezza, Il campo rispecchia un po’ la decadenza dell’hotel e ne segue le orme. un vero peccato. Purtroppo è la prima volta che mi manca la voglia di tornare a giocare in un campo da golf.

MargauxLe parcours redessiné est intéressant mais demande de la modestie en raison du nombre de plan d'eau et de fossés. Deux désagréments lors de cette partie : la présence de nappes de pâquerettes sur prtiquement tous les fairways et des greens peu roulants et présentant des taches brunes mais malgré ces désagréments la ballade en bordure de Garonne et les arbres jalonnant le parcours en fait un havre de paix sous le soleil. A refaire pour la beauté du site et le calme

MargauxParcours sous noté à mon avis. Joué l hiver donc terrain gras, mais joli tracé, alternant les fairways larges et étroits. Beaucoup de lacs rendent le jeu plus compliqué. Maintenance minimale assurée. Accueil très professionnel et sympathique. Bonne table au restaurant. A faire

MargauxMargaux is een sprekende naam in de wijnwereld maar nog niet in de golf. De ligging van deze baan lijkt prefect maar bevind zich in het overstromingsgebied van de Garonne. Na de regen van de voorbije weken is de baan te nat en drassig. De klei laat je hoge ballen verdwijnen onder de grond. Het mooiste van de baan is het uitzicht over de Garonne en de vergezichten over de baan. Wij hadden een prachtige zonnige dag uitgekozen om hier te spelen. Ondanks dit alles heeft deze baan alles om een topbaan te zijn maar dan bij droog weer met een iets hardere ondergrond.
De oefenfaciliteiten zijn in orde en het onthaal is vriendelijk met duidelijke instructies, prijs is ook laag.
