Sand Valley Golf Resort

Varit på Sand Valley 4 gånger! Återkommer högst troligt en 5:e gång också. Banan andas lugn men samtidigt fullt av liv. Tycker att servicen på Sand Valley är OUTSTANDING. Ingenting är omöjligt om det så gäller transfer, önskemål osv. Dom löser det mesta! Otrolig prisbild efter vad dom levererar. Banan är otroligt rolig att spela och många valmöjligheter med så många olika tee:s. Vi har alltid utmanat oss själva genom att spela ett varv från deras backtee (Cherry). Banan blir då väldigt lång men med en helt annan upplevelse. Oavsett tee hävdar jag att banan är svår. Dock uppskattar du banan för ju fler varv du spelar för du inser att du kanske behöver tänka annorlunda mot vad du är van. Upplevs egentligen ganska linksig. Ett stort plus är att alla deras paket, om du väljer att bo på banan, ingår fritt spel! Villorna som erbjuds i paket är grymma och välrenoverade. Ett litet minus om jag ska gnälla på något är att poolerna skulle varit uppvärmda. Jag rekommderar Sand Valley GC till alla som önskar hög service, en rolig golfbana och grym semesterresort. Lägg där till en grym restaurang med bra priser.

Väldigt många ”waste areas”, väldigt torrt på fw redan i 2/5! Finns det ingen bevattning? Några väldigt konstiga hål, typ 9:an.

Vi bodde i så kallad lägenhet men det var typ ett radhus, så himla fint boende och hela anläggningen var super. Klubbhus med restaurang, väldigt trevlig personal överallt.

Spännande golfbana med alla greener upphöjda så det gäller att planera inspel. Kul men svårt. Väldigt fin finish på banan! Åker definitivt hit igen!

Boys road trip to Poland 4/4

Let me share my review as part of my vacation with my son.

I already mentioned that highlight of my trip were at Sierra, this should be another one, but it was not.

Do not take it wrong, if you want to golf party, this place is great. I should arrive with my golf buddies, we would love it there.

It has advantage its affordable, you can use the Golfamore discount there as well.

Finding this course is actually really easy, its next to highway, even it does not look on pictures. Its not noisy from highway, but its not also quiet and calm. Its friendly for sure, very professional and good staff, great hospitality.

Parking and all the amenities are close, accommodation in villas as well. Checking process is really fast and easy. You can even walk the course cause its pretty much flat, so no need to get buggy.

Coming to 1st tee I realize that there are different colors of tees so for men I suggest to play green, be careful white ones are for ladies there :D.

Its typical links course with all the pros and cons. I had problem to find always next teebox, cause signs are not there and if yes I just did not seen them, but I found my way. Start bit badly but than scored 2 birdies on 4th and 5th, also I had some fans from Sweden on 3rd hole yelling go in the hole. As I said place has atmosphere for parties. Course is not difficult its playable I scored 86 playing first time with 5 dbl bogeys not bad. The best part were the greens there, challenging but rolling really nicely. Signature hole for me would be 9th. Really nice.

We grab a bite after the game and it was very tasty.

Showers were looking more like the warehouse, but I get it cause majority of guests are staying in the villas.

Sand Valley continues to develop great housing around the course. Villas with swimming pools are superb. Some of the rooms at Pelican are too small nevertheless the place was fully booked.

Course itself is great as always with two areas for improvement. Grass on fairways is too sparse, needs resowing or more fertilisers. Second but perphaps more important weakness is the lack of fringes on greens. As a result accurate approaches on elevated greens are very often penalised. This is fun golf course and lack of fringes takes plenty of fun away. Fringes on the inclined green sides serve no real purpose. We do need fringes on the greens!

Food was great in the restaurant especially beef chops and pierogi with strawberry mousse.
