Golf Arboretum

The facility and clubhouse is definitely old style and would request a bit of maintenance. But the golf course and the surrounding is definitely a good reason to visit the course, as indeed very nice and peaceful place to do a good and challenging game.

Arboretum is een leuke golfbaan. Vooral de omgeving is prachtig. De greens waren wat zacht, de fairways niet overal even fantastisch, maar toch genoten van mijn ronde. Elk uitzicht is fantastisch!

Zeker de moeite waard als je in de buurt bent.

Since we have played at Royal Bled a couple of times we wanted to try something else in Slovenia so we decided to visit Arboretum golf course.

The course is surrounded by trees which gives it a very cosy and natural design.

Many beautiful holes in the forest but also very tricky.

The kitchen at the restaurant wasn’t open when we were there so we just had a few beers.

But we enjoyed our day and recommend this course when travelling in Slovenia.

Short but technical course which requires some skills and a bit of luck at times. :)

The layout is quite diverse with nice surroundings and no disturbing factors on the course.

The course was in very good condition for winter months.

I used to play this course fairly regularly when I was still living in Slovenia. Since I played it last, a few years back, I must say they did make a big step forward when it comes to course maintenance, the fairways were in a good shape, greens and tee boxes as well. I was especially surprised at how well the "rough" areas are maintained.

No the facilities (locker room, restaurant, "proShop") still need a lot of work tho.
