Thanks to a helpful attendant in the Teguise ProShop I was able to play the Golf Teguise course today. The course is in good shape, fairways are decent and greens are in very good shape. The Pro Shop was well stocked and the Restaurant looked decent with good offerings. As long as you can keep your ball on the fairway you have a good chance of scoring well. The bunkers are indeed filled with volcanic fine grained rock and are black! Bring an extra banged up sand wedge for bunker play. The occasional wide shot that finds the ‘rough’ area is fairly easy to find as the vegetation is sparse. It does bother me to see players that do not repair their pitch marks or rake the bunkers! The buggies are an older type but adequate for this course. I enjoyed playing this course but did not enjoy the extremely slow 4 ball group ahead of me! Had to wait at least 10 minutes for every shot with a total of 5,5 hours! Too bad there was not a Marshall to speed them up! Golfers visiting Lanzarote should give Golf Teguise a try!
Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review! 😊 We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the course, the condition of the greens, our facilities, and the service you received in the Pro Shop. We truly value feedback like yours. While we appreciate your comments and tips about the course, we’re sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced with the pace of play. We understand how important this is for an enjoyable round and we are continuously working to improve in this area. We also take this opportunity to remind all players of the importance of course care, including repairing pitch marks and raking bunkers, so everyone can enjoy the best possible conditions. We hope to welcome you back again very soon and provide you with an even smoother and more enjoyable round. Thank you for recommending us!

Costa Teguise Golf Club, Lanzarote – Leading Courses Review Costa Teguise Golf Club is a fantastic choice if you’re visiting Lanzarote by cruise ship, as it is located just five minutes from the cruise terminal. The club has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with a small driving range, putting green and a compact but friendly pro shop. The course itself is what makes this place truly unique. Built through Lanzarote’s volcanic landscape, lava surrounds many of the fairways, creating a spectacular contrast with the lush green grass. One of the most memorable features are the black volcanic sand bunkers, giving the course a character unlike almost anywhere else. Before your round, make sure to ask the pro shop for a “lava club” – an old iron that you can use when your ball finishes on the lava, helping to protect your own clubs from damage. The layout is varied and enjoyable. While the course is not particularly long, the ever-present wind can make club selection challenging and keeps every round interesting. During my visit, the conditioning was excellent, with green fairways and well-maintained greens throughout. Costa Teguise offers a fun and memorable golfing experience in a truly unique volcanic setting and is definitely worth adding to your Lanzarote itinerary. Three Facts: * Opened in 1978, designed by the renowned British architect John Harris. * Features distinctive black volcanic sand bunkers instead of traditional white sand. * Located just 5 minutes from the Arrecife cruise terminal, making it one of the most convenient golf courses for cruise passengers.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed both the unique volcanic landscape and the condition of the course. Lanzarote offers a golfing experience unlike any other, and we're pleased that features such as our black volcanic sand bunkers and the "lava club" added to your round. It's also great to know that you appreciated our welcoming atmosphere and the convenience of our location for cruise visitors. We strive to provide every guest with a memorable experience, whether they are visiting the island for a few hours or staying longer. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Costa Teguise Golf Club on your next visit to Lanzarote. Warm regards, The Costa Teguise Golf Club Team

A very friendly club and visiting the place I was made to feel very welcome. The course itself is a fight against nature—a golf course probably shouldn’t be here but the layout is a test especially if it’s windy. I have seen reviews criticising the conditions and I visited after they have had a spell of rain—but I found the course to be in decent condition and the greens had a good pace on them even though they looked like they would be slow
Thank you so much for your kind words. We’re delighted to hear that you felt so welcome — that truly means a lot to us. We’re also glad you enjoyed the challenge of the course and found it in good condition despite the recent rain. Your comments about the greens and overall conditions are greatly appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

My son and I have played the Costa Teguise golf course this week.We were satisfied with the course, which looked very green. Obviously the rain from the last 2 months helped tremendously in turning things around. The reception was very friendly and with a premium set of golfclubs it felt like we were using our own clubs. All in all a nice experience when playing golf in Northern Europe is quite challenging in winter time.
"Dear Mr, Kurt, , we really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It’s wonderful to know that our players hard work is noticed by our guests. We take great pride in our course conditions and service, and your kind words truly make our day. See you at the first tee again soon!

De driving range is nog steeds niet goed: slechte ballen en een stenige landingsgebied. De matten zijn wel redelijk. Receptie is vriendelijk.

Golf Costa Teguise
This golf course lies at the foot of an old volcano and has breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. This 18-hole course, which was designed by British landscape architect John Harris, was built in 1978. The course is designed to be both smooth and varied. Its numerous doglegs stimulate players and require them to bring all their clubs into play. It even represents a challenge for professional players, whilst offering an attractive and enjoyable game for those of more modest skills. The fairways are surrounded by over 3,000 palm trees and there are breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to its privileged location, in Lanzarote, it benefits from a warm and pleasant climate all year round, which is tempered by a sea breeze from the island’s almost constant Trade winds.
