What a place! Everybody at the club was so friendly and the course and scenery make the experience even more unforgettable. Super maintenance, with fast and immaculate greens. Many holes from where to take in the view of the ocean if your game is not showing up for the day.... Jokes apart, I was extremely pleased by the overall experience and I believe this course should receive more credit.

A pleasant, shorter 9-hole course with just one par 3; the rest are par 4s. Each hole can be played from two different tees. Overall, it’s fairly easy. The 8th hole is the most beautiful. It runs alongside the main course and features nicely shaped links-style fairways. A good warm-up before playing Murcar Links.

This course is fun course, very welcoming atmosphere (low key and friendly) and good value for money. Because the course sits up higher on the land, the sea is visible on most holes (unlike many links courses, which sit below the dunes and only offer a rare glimpse of the water). The best stretch of holes are Nos 6,7,8,9 and 10. When I played the gorse was in full bloom adding to the beauty of the scenery. There are a few blind shots, so if you are playing for the first time, I recommend taking a caddy. They also have a very good practice area. The small and intimate clubhouse has one of the best views of any club I have ever played, with a near 180 degree view of the course and the sea. So, I encourage golfers to stay for drinks or dinner and enjoy the setting.

Located on a classic stretch of links land with massive sand dunes, undulating fairways, and is covered in whins and heather with some magnificent views across the North Sea. There can be some wicked bounces off the crumpled fairways and there are burns and the odd blind shot to contend with. Playing Murcar Links is a truly memorable and rewarding experience where each hole offers its own challenge.
