About Five Nations Golfclub
Eén van Belgies meest spectaculaire parcours
The Five Nations was designed by the legendary Gary Player in 1990. With his completely personal ideas of the game and the laying out of golf courses he laid out a hilly, challenging and above all a very nice par 72 golf course, which has been integrated completely in the surrounding nature.
The fantastic situation at the foot of the hilly Ardennes offers a particular challenge for players of each level. The course is known for its spectacular holes and impressive views as far as 40 km.
In the book "Top Golf Courses of the World" The Five Nations is mentioned together with 54 illustrious names like Pebble Beach, St. Andrews and Chantilly; an entry to be proud of.

Welcome to Méan, between Marche and Liège, in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. This is one of the most spectacular courses in Belgium, designed by Gary Player himself. The South-African ex-pro clearly got inspired by the site. You have to admit that Player’s original layout is now a challenge of the highest order.

Blijft een mooie club in een prachtig landschap, met mooi clubhuis en bijhorend terras. De greens zijn echter dramatisch. Heel veel schade ten gevolge van het zero phyto beleid, langpootmuglarves en dus belabberde, erg hobbelige greens. Enkel de green van 11 lag aanvaardbaar. Zonde dat we dan alsnog 80 euro greenfee moesten betalen, desondanks dat was het er gezellig druk…

Afgelopen weekend twee dagen gegolfd op Five Nations en Durbuy. Uitstraling clubhuis vind ik echt geweldig. Mooi oud pand met een prachtig nieuw interieur. Alles ziet er erg verzorgd uit.
Hotelkamers zijn modern en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het eten in het restaurant is prima verzorgd. Bediening komt wat ongeorganiseerd over. Dat kan zeker beter.
