Københavns Golf Klub

Het was even zoeken maar na het vinden van een parkeerplaats in de nabije omgeving van de club schreden we door de grote poort het prachtige domein binnen. 10 minuten stappen tot het clubhuis en daar warm ontvangen. Gastvrijheid wordt hier nog met een grote G geschreven. Gratis practice ballen, inslaan van op gras, prima mogelijkheden om je chipping en bunker spel te oefenen. 2 uitstekende oefen greens brengen je meteen in top stemming om de baan in te gaan. We hadden goed weer en niet al te veel wind want anders speel je een echte linksbaan. Let goed op de grote keien waar de richting van de volgende hole wordt op aangegeven. Omdat de herten hier heer en meester zijn mag er geen enkel informatie bord geplaatst worden. Het parcours is prachtig, glooiend over het domein, pittige par 3’s, vaak lange en moeilijke par 4’s en ook de par 5’s vragen de juiste clubkeuze. De rough is moeilijk, alleen uit het helmgras is behoorlijk uit te raken. Geniet natuurlijk ook van de schitterende omgeving, de prachtige dieren en de perfecte staat van het terrein. Op de fairway loop je als over een zacht tapijt, de tee boxen en bunkers zijn top, de greens liepen tijdens onze ronde wat traag. Na afloop genoten we van een lekkere cappuccino op het chill terras!

Denne fantastiske “Inland Links Golfcourse” er placeret i et helt unikt naturområde kaldt “Dyrehaven”. Her er det dyrene først, så den unikke natur og så golfspillerne.?

Man tager alle flag ind i klubhuset hver nat for ikke at dyrene generes af dem, og man lukker hullerne så ikke et dyr brækker benet ved at træde ned i et hul?

Hele “Dyrehaven” er et kæmpe naturområde som er lukket af. Ingen biler og derfor er der en ca 7-10 min gåtur fra parkeringspladsen til golfklubben.?

Den specielle oplevelse af naturen og historien på denne golfbane er en “ONE OF A KIND” oplevelse? ⛳️

Mine favorit hul er klart hul 15, hvor man på et par 4 får hele 7 bunkere og spiller op imod det smukke “Eremitageslottet”?

Københavns - or Royal Copenhagen Golf Club - is one of my favourite golf courses anywhere, and resides in my personal top 5 for Denmark. In the Danish top 50 on Top100, it is currently ranked 14th, but it's all a matter of personal preference I guess.

Being the oldest course in Scandinavia, the club retains a very old-school vibe, and if you are a fan of UK golf, you'll love this place. Located in the midst of a nature preserve the surroundings are as peaceful as they come, and you will no doubt get acquainted with the original inhabitant of the area. "Dyrehaven" used to be the Kings old hunting grounds, and to this day, more than 2.000 wild deer call this place home.

The course itself very much has a links feel to it, and very unusually it both starts and ends with a par 3. Both measuring at +165 meters makes this a very tough start and end to your round.

The long par 5 4th is one of my favourite holes on the course, and the spot behind the green offers stunning views of almost the entire property as well as the old Castle.

Holes 5-8 are absolutely brutal par 4's, so do your best to get through them without too much damage to your scorecard.

The highlights of the back nine are the downhill par 3 12th, and the magnificent par 4 15th playing toward the Kings old Castle.

The course is simplistic beauty at its finest, and I can't recommend it enough. If you are in Copenhagen it's a must-visit place. I promise you will not regret it.

This is historic golf course. Placed within a zoo!

If you are in Denmark you should play this course. Kind of a golfers dannelsesreise/The Grand Tour/bildungsreise. It’s the oldest golf course in Scandinavia and protected. So close to all holes are original. The course and its surroundings are beautiful - and very peaceful. It feels historic to play here, and a few times a bit like playing on an african savanna.

Much like a links course with fun and challenging putts around the greens and though rough. You need to stay in the fairway on this course - trust me!

Fantastic service both at arrival and on Hole 19. I was paired with a super nice member who guided med through the course and its surroundings. Even insisted on paying for Hole 19. Classy!
