About Kölner Golfclub
The Kölner Golfclub (or Cologne Golf Club) is located in the west of the city and is just 8,000 meters (as the crow flies) away from Cologne Cathedral. The golf club is integrated into the Outer Cologne Green Belt and impresses with its unusual design: a gently modelled landscape with hills, large ponds and hundreds of trees and bushes. Golf course designer Heinz Fehring oriented himself towards links and parkland courses. With a total of 45 fairways, the Cologne Golf Club is the largest golf course in North Rhine-Westphalia. Its two 18-hole courses and the 9-hole short course were designed with the philosophy "from simple to challenge" and offers golfers a wide range of possible combinations.

beim großzügigen Parkplatz angekommen trifft man im Clubhaus auf einen großen Shop - ohne Startzeit war es kein Problem am Nachmittag eine Runde zu spielen.
Driving range ist sehr groß, besonders tolle Ziele wie ein Football Tor und es waren auch an einem Montag die Rasenabschläge geöffnet.

Championship Course
Prachtige baan met fijne oefen faciliteiten. Omdat we de nacht hebben doorgebracht in het bijbehorende hotel (aanrader!) zijn we eerst gaan trainen. De driving range is prima en er zijn veel putting greens en een prima chipping green met goede oefenbunker.
Na twee uur trainen was het tijd om de championship course te spelen en op het moment dat je de eerste tee op loopt …
