About Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort
Designed with the principles of links golf in mind, Darren Clarke created his first ever golf course design here at Moyvalley. With tall fescue bordering the course itself, grand putting surfaces with sweeping contours, the greens have generous run-off areas and receptive surfaces. The placement of four sets of tees allows the course to play as short as 5,658 yards – all the way back to the blue tips at a mega 7,370 yards. Risk and reward are a feature on many holes, with strategic thinkers rewarded for plotting their way around the course. The modern and luxuriously appointed clubhouse boasts extensive locker room facilities together with a spacious bar and restaurant offering panoramic views of the course and estate.

Twin Oaks Championship CourseRuim opgezette inland linksbaan. Teeboxen, fairways en greens zeer goed verzorgd.
Vlakbij hole 1 een driving range en drie mooie greens om te putten, chippen.
Baan is wel lang vanaf de witte tees, vanaf geel is het voor een mid hcp goed te doen.
De wind en veel water op de laatste holes maakr het wel lastig.
Als je de bal in de rough slaat ben je hem kwijt. Fairways raken is een must voor een goede score.
Clubhuis had geen lunch mogelijkheid. Alleen broodjes uit een automaat.

Twin Oaks Championship CourseVery long tough course. The greens are lovely and quick. The fairways were very wet and bare. You can have a terrible lie on the fairways. Overall a nice day out. The staff and food were excellent.

Twin Oaks Championship CourseBeautiful course with greens in perfect condition. Bunkers are well placed and in good condition. One minor issue is that the map of hole 18 (index 1) does not even closely resemble the reality. A course that punishes you for mistakes surrounded by a stunning scenery.

Great Darren Clark design.
Plenty of variation in terms of holes, in length and shape with water coming into play on almost half the holes, particularly on 16th and 18th which is a beautiful and challenging par 5.
Great views on multiple holes from the beautiful club house.
Great practice facilities.
Excellent greens.

18 holesDesigned by the 2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke, Moyvalley has hosted the European Challenge Tour (2009) and staged the Irish PGA Championship in 2016 and 2017.
