Golf in Republic of Ireland
Internationally, Ireland’s commitment to golf was rewarded with the staging of the Ryder Cup 2006 at the Palmer Course of the K Club. The Ryder Cup is set to return to Ireland in 2027 to Adare Manor. Famous Irish golf courses are Old Head Golf Links, The European Club, Lahinch Golf Club, The Island Golf Club, Killeen Castle, Adare Manor, Ballyliffin Golf Club, Druids Glen and Fota Island. Howth Golf Club
Howth is a hidden gem on the verge of being discovered. Located on a peninsula about a half hours drive of Dublin airport it's a real find. When driving up there you don't realise that the course is located on top of the hill with amazing views all over Dublin including at least 5 other courses worthwhile playing as well. The staff is extremely friendly and so are the mem…

The Royal Dublin Golf Club
The experience of playing Royal Dublin starts when you cross the wooden one way bridge to reach the island were the club was founded in 1885. This Colt design is the 2nd oldest club in Ireland and tradition is found all over the clubhouse. An other interesting fact is that, if you wear shorts, you have to wear white ankle covering socks! 4 out of our party did not have an…

The castle course is for the junior and senior members, i've marked it 6/10, it's a nice run around if your looking to see where your game is at and to get rid of any cobwebs. The Old Course is where it is at. If you want …

Lahinch Golf Club
When you park your car at Lahinch Golf Club and walk towards the clubhouse, you are greated by a goat statue. The goats at Lahinch Golf Club are quite famous and they are an old school weather channel. When they are close to the clubhouse, the weather is going to be bad soon. When they are way out somewhere on the course, the weather should be pleasant. On the beautiful d…
