Amelisweerd: dé 18 holes baan van Utrecht!
The Gerard Jol-designed Golf Course Amelisweerd is located just outside the city of Utrecht, next to nature reserve Amelisweerd. The design and all the natural elements such as the many trees, three large water features and strategically placed bunkers create a very challenging golf course, for both the novice and advanced player.
With over 1000 members, Utrecht Golf Club Amelisweerd is a relatively young and vibrant club. Under the wings of the city of Utrecht, a short distance from Kampong and FC Utrecht and adjacent to the nature reserve Amelisweerd. Most of the members are from Utrecht, but also players the surrounding villages and towns like Houten, Zeist, Bunnik have bonded with this club. The club has a pleasant atmosphere, where everyone feels welcome.

Membership description
Amelisweerd is een zeer actieve verenigingsbaan met ongeveer 800 full members, 80 par 3 leden, 70 junior leden, en meer dan 70 jeugdleden. Er is jaarlijks een goed gevulde verenigingskalender met wedstrijden en evenementen. Ook de golfschool organiseert voor de leden een aantal leuke activiteiten door het jaar heen.
Op dit moment heeft onze vereniging bijna het maximale aantal leden bereikt, dat wij met onze baancapaciteit kunnen accommoderen. Voor het Full Member lidmaatschap, het Jong Volwassenen lidmaatschap en het Junior Lidmaatschap geldt al een wachtlijst.

Golfbaan Amelisweerd
Gisteravond met een vriend na werk de 1e negen gespeeld en er waren een paar zaken die me echt opvielen. Ten eerste de schimmels in de greens, ik weet dat het veel met het weer te maken heeft maar het putten op sommige greens was echt lastig. Wat mij ook opviel was dat de bunkers er echt heel slecht bij lagen het leek wel alsof ze dagen niet door de greenkeepers waren net…

Played Amelisweerd on a Monday night, nine holes after work. Before we left we asked the staff if it was possible to still have dinner afterwards at 20:30 they said it would be difficult because they had two big groups playing and staying for dinner.

Vorige week zondag even met het gezin op de drivingrange, puttinggreen en par 3 baan gespeeld. De faciliteiten zijn uitstekend, in de buurt van Utrecht by far de beste plek om te oefenen. De greens en par 3 baan kunnen qua onderhoud nog wel iets verbeteren meestal liggen ze er beter bij. Denk dat het te maken heeft met de droge zomer van vorig jaar (2018)
