Good course with a lot of potential. Would Love to play it again to see the improvements made on facilities and the course itself.

Het is moeilijk om als je in Schotland bent de links links te laten liggen en na een bezoek aan Marhall snapten we ook waarom veel banen die net niet aan de kust liggen het moeilijk hebben. Mooie vergezichten over de rivier maar echt knetteren wil het niet op deze baan. De holes gaan heen en weer en heen en weer langs de oever van de rivier en bieden weinig verrasseningen. Wel prima onderhouden, prettig speelbaar en heerlijk rustig. Jammer genoeg waren club- en halfwayhouse gesloten, het had de herinneringen vast wat meer kleur gegeven.

A great golf course situated a short drive from Glasgow, An Interesting layout and a good test of Golf, most notable are the slopes on the greens. The closest you will come to putting on Augusta style greens, not for the speed.. but the slopes on these well manicured greens are fantastic, If you hit the green but your above the hole then avoiding a 3 putt is your first priority, The course is geared up for visitors and corporate golf, which is not me being critical, but Its not a tough course unless you opt to play off the championship tees (It has hosted Europro events), Otherwise its a good fair course with not too much trouble other than the greens.

The hotel is spectacular with its own church meaning it's a popular wedding venue, the place is very classy and guests include Maddona and Robbie Williams whilst they played gigs in Glasgow, getting back to the course I will say its a really nice course and worth a visit if your in Glasgow, but if your in Edinburgh I would not advise you come all the way through to play it as you have the courses of North Berwick, Gullane, & Archerfield on your doorstep (see my other reviews).
