Good course along beautiful tree-lines. Lots of undulation and

It is the type of course where, on almost all holes, you are only surrounded by the hole you are playing and that alone makes for a great experience. Conditions were good, with fair greens and nice hard fairways.

Slow play was kind of a problem when I played, but hey what else is new.

You will see lots of kangaroos and nice birds so that is good way to pass the time :).

De Brookwater Golf and Country Club, een design van Greg Norman, ligt op 45 minuten van Brisbane, Australië. De baan ligt in een prachtig geaccidenteerd terrein. Een buggy is onontbeerlijk. Het onderhoud is uitmuntend. Echter, voor de goedwillende amateur is de baan mijns inziens veel te moeilijk. Bijna geen enkel stukje fairway ligt horizontaal. Heel secuur spel van de tee is een voorwaarde.

Het is echter fantastisch om hier te mogen/kunnen spelen. De wilde kangoeroes liggen naast de fairway uit te rusten en soms hupsen ze over de green als je die net wilt aanspelen. Een fascinerend gezicht. Het clubhuis is groots van opzet en het terras biedt een mooi uitzicht op de achttiende green.

Huge Eucalypts surround the whole course with tough tee shots these trees come into play, which requires the golfer to be very accurate from the tee box.

Massive undulations are current throughout this top 30 Australian course with bunkers that are Greg Norman design renowned, IE very dramatic.

Brookwater in some ways is a mini Augusta, as is Bonville GC in NSW.

Do yourself a favour and make the trek out to play here. Playable all year round
