Castro Marim Golfe and Country Club

I had an outstanding experience playing at Castro Marim Golf. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, making the whole day even more enjoyable. The course itself was in excellent condition. The greens were immaculate, fast, and true, while the fairways were beautifully maintained and clearly defined, with a noticeable distinction between the fairways and the rough. It was evident that a great deal of care and attention goes into keeping the course in top shape. One of the highlights was the breathtaking scenery. The course offers spectacular views at every turn, and the way it blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural landscape creates a truly unique and relaxing golfing experience. The harmony between nature and the course design is exceptional, making every hole a pleasure to play. Overall, Castro Marim Golf exceeded my expectations in every way. With its magnificent landscapes, outstanding course conditions, and exceptional staff, it is a destination I would highly recommend to any golfer visiting the Algarve. I look forward to returning soon

Leuke glooiende baan in de Algarve. Makkelijk bereikbaar. Club heeft drie negen holes lussen, wij speelden Guardiana & Grouse. Vond ik op elkaar lijken, beide hebben redelijke brede fairways en heerlijke greens. Op Guardiana kijk je bij sommige holes naar Spanje. Ontvangst in de receptie was erg vriendelijk. Een nette baan met vriendelijke mensen.

Redelijke van grouse fairways matig. Greens zijn goed. Lay-Out is gezocht. Ontvangst is vriendelijk. Zijn betere banen in deze omgeving.

I played 27 holes that day—18 holes on the Grouse–Guadiana course early in the morning, followed by another 9 holes on the Atlantic course in the afternoon. Since the last time I played, I noticed significant improvement in the caddie master area where I collected my buggy. The service was well organized, and the buggy was fully charged and clean. There were two bottles of water provided in the buggy, which were very welcome, as it was a fantastic sunny day with a bit of wind—making me think more carefully about my course management. I noticed that the tee boxes are currently under recovery, but the mowing was very well defined on most of them. The fairways were well cut and clearly shaped, with good definition into the semi-rough. The bunkers were well maintained and, fortunately, I managed to avoid quite a few of them despite the wind. The greens were very well kept and fast enough to require careful consideration of both pace and line on each hole. The buggy bar staff were very friendly and helpful out on the course, as were all the team members in the pro shop and at the caddie master. Without a doubt, it’s a course with a very distinctive design and characteristics typical of the local terrain, offering a solid test of golf while making you feel welcome thanks to the professionalism of the staff.

Its peacefull atmosphere, combined with excellent facilities and friendly staff, makes it a perfect destination for both golf enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxing getway. Golf course greens are great and fast.
