Nestling in rolling unspoilt Kent countryside Faversham is quite simply one of the loveliest golf courses in the south east of England. Complementing its beautiful surroundings Faversham has all you would expect from a long established parkland course with manicured tree lined fairways well conditioned and maintained tees and greens and imaginatively sculptured holes. The hurricane in 1987 had a devastating effect on the woodland on and surrounding the course but it has now regained its splendour. The impressive new Clubhouse built in 1997 has added to its attraction. It is an ideal course for golfers of all abilities to learn and develop their game.

Faversham Golf ClubFaversham (1902) is een geen al te lange parkbaan (Par 70 / 5734 van de gele tee’s) in het onaangetaste countryside in Kent. Tegen de heuvel liggen er 13 afwisselende holes met fraaie vergezichten. Vanaf hole 14 heb je vlakkere lange holes dicht bij het clubhuis.
Deze baan vraagt een nauwkeurige drive en heeft goed onderhouden en soms goed beschermende greens.
Logo van de club is een fazant en die zie je meer dan voldoende op de golfbaan. Volgens de originele statuten had de fazantenjacht voorrang op het golfspel.
Het ontbijt in het ruime clubhuis was top evenals de vriendelijke ontvangst.

Faversham Golf ClubWhat a warming welcome. The pro offered us a practical opportunity for an earlier start. The coffee before our start comes from the kitchen in the clubhouse, and must be paid in cash (heads up!). The course is in very good shape, and has a series of interesting holes, with a lot of slopes in the fairways, so carefully playing your ball through the hole makes things a bit easier. We would have loved a few more doglegs or other challenges, but overall it is a very nice place, with beautiful trees and scenery. And above all, quiet! No motorway or other disturbing noises. The restaurant has quite a bare decor, it must be possible to make that a bit nicer. But also here the staff is extremely friendly, which compensates a lot. We had a good time and would not mind going here for another round of golf.

Faversham Golf ClubUitstekende golfbaan in goede staat van onderhoud. Heuvelachtige parkbaan met fraaie vergezichten. Uitstekende fairways en greens. Drivingrange wat veraf gelegen van van het clubgebouw en 1ste tee. Routing naar volgende tee kan wat duidelijker. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding, slechts 20 pond voor 18 holes twilightgolf. Deze baan is een aanrader.

Faversham Golf ClubEcht een prachtige parkbaan, met mooie brede fairways en vooral lastige grens. De ontvangst was buitengewoon hartelijk, hoewel we een starttijd hadden aangevraagd konden we anytime de baan op.

18 holesThe course features, mature trees and woodlands, undulating, tight fairways and well presented greens which demand accuracy and a well struck putt. The course is a 18-hole par 70 (yellow) and par 71 (red) course and is not very long (5734 yards from the red tees).
