Without hesitation the best front 9 I’ve ever played. Words cannot describe the panoramic views over the valleys. It makes for some of the most unique holes in golf too.
The greens in July were second to none. I couldn’t believe how fast they ran and not a hint of a bobble from a well rolled putt. You get an idea of what the pros have to contend with when putting here.
Only criticism I could find was some of the tee boxes had scrappy edges where they met the pathways. Something that could quite easily be rectified though and certainly doesn’t affect the quality of play.

Very lucky to play as a members guest and Hindhead was a great golf course and fabulous experience. Looking down the first hole, which is a great view, but did not let give you a hint of the views too come once we got onto the second tee box. After that point the routing of the course, especially the rest of the front 9 is spectacular to say the least. Challenging drives, great greens and the surroundings were superb. Lovely pint after golf and just can't wait to return. If you get the opportunity to play here, take it. Whilst it might not be as famous as some of its close neighbours you would not be disappointed.

Courses at Hindhead Golf Club
Hindhead Golf Club
Hindhead has five different tees of different course lengths that provide a fair test of golf for all abilities from Academy starters, juniors, fast-improvers and all the way through to scratch and plus handicap players. Club competitions are usually played off White or Yellow tees for the men and Red tees for the ladies, with the Orange tees being a mix of Yellow and Red. The Blue tees allow an achievable test for the Academy starter player who, with planned Academy instruction from our PGA Professional and his team, can quickly work up to the longer courses. The first hole starts close to the Clubhouse and Pro Shop, and the 18th green sits just a few feet from the Clubhouse Patio making it a marvellous spectator finish. Holes 2 to 9 sweep through two Ice-Age glacier formed valleys and work their way down and back up across the upper plateau. All very different in character that together provide a wonderful and memorable golfing experience.
