Clevedon Golf Club

Clevedon Golf Club is a top-quality golf course located in North Somerset along its coast with views across the Bristol Channel/Severn Estuary to Wales and over Clevedon, stretching to the Mendip Hills.

The course is well-maintained, and greens are usually in good condition and are fast, large, and easy to three-putt if in the wrong area. Fairways were in fair condition on my visit, but I would expect them to be wet in winter, and the same goes for the tees. The front 9 threads through a lovely and tight woodland setting making for some daunting tee shots; but with some beautiful holes, while the back 9 is a little more open, but don't worry, still plenty of trees! The Castle Hole (8) and The Drop (14) are quite memorable due to the elevated tees.

It's quite a long walk, so consider a trolley or buggy if you are likely to struggle with hills. Practice facilities are good with a range (didn't seem that long), two nets, a chipping green, and a putting green on the other side of the car park/clubhouse. The clubhouse is a little dated, and the changing rooms could probably use a refurbishment, but the bar and food were good.

I'd say green fees are mid-priced, so not budget-friendly, but fair for the course and definitely worth a visit.
