The Park Course is apparently less of a challenge than the Downs but it was plenty for me and my group. It's certainly easy enough to walk the course as it winds through the estate and around Goodwood House itself. The grounds are gorgeous and of course there are many other attractions if you're making a weekend of it. Lovely hotel too. Lots to recommend and I might give the Downs course a go next time.

2 great but very different courses, Downs is very long & hilly great test of your game, greens are excellent. Park is flat easy walk but always in good condition, lovely evening course after work.

Was lucky enough To play on Monday 23 March 2020. It was gloriously sunny, the first of the year. Although the club house was closed due too the unfortunate circumstances at present. The range is well layer out with both a covered and uncovered area with plenty of marker posts for distance and accuracy. A very well payed out chipping area is also available. We played the park course which offered great views of Goodwood house and the lovely countryside. Also you have the added bounus of the site and sound of the spitfires. The fairways were well defined and in very good condition due to the recent rain. The greens had been hollow tined but a great touch of a 3 foot square around the hole gave putts a chance to fall. The greens were receptive and of a good speed. All in all a great day.

General impression
Courses at Golf At Goodwood
Park Course
The Park Course surrounds the flint walls of Goodwood House and boasts some of the most beautiful 300 year old Cedar trees. The course may seem less of a challenge than the Downs Course but the tricky bunkers keep everyone sharp. The course is about 6,650 yards that meanders through woodland and tree lined fairways. It demands accuracy rather than length.
Downs Course
The Downs Course is one of the oldest courses in Sussex. The courses was designed in 1914 by the legendary James Braid, designed of Gleneagles and Carnoustie. The downland course consists of fast-running fairways, undulating greens and big changes of elevation in the valleys and hills.
