Cradoc Golf Club is a 1969 C.K. Cotton parkland design located near Brecon, surrounded by the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog). The course wraps around Penoyre House and features undulating terrain (one or two steep inclines), tree-lined holes, and open countryside views. Course condition was good overall. Fairways were tidy and greens rolled true, although slightly slow. Tee boxes showed heavy wear, and bunkers were the weakest area, with stones and a lack of sand in places. The par 3 12th, playing downhill with stunning views of the Beacons, and the par 4 6th, featuring unique ramparts along the edge of green, were the standout holes. Facilities include a well-stocked pro shop, full practice range, short-game area, and a putting green consistent with the course surfaces. The clubhouse and staff were welcoming and helpful, adding to a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Cradoc offers a pleasant parkland experience in a scenic setting. It may not justify a dedicated trip, but it’s well worth adding to a golf itinerary in the Breconshire area.

Course type: Parkland Topography: Half routed round a hillside and half on the lower, flatter land. Best feature: Holes 6 to 13 are a great run of holes played around a manor house. Great views over the Brecon Beacons Worst feature: The rest of the course was fairly unmemorable Condition: Fairways were good but the teeboxes were full of divots. The greens were ok but quite slow. Verdict: Cheap enough to play if you are in the area but not worth a special visit

Mooie glooiende baan, soms best stijl, met mooie uitzichten (Brecon Beacon NP). Snelle greens.

Soms lastig door de schuine fairways op de helling.

Leuke baan, had wel meer mooie vergezichten verwacht. Op de eerste negen wat holes tegen een schuine helling maar voor de rest redelijk eenvoudige holes. Goede prijs kwaliteit.
