Opening in 1989, The Parc has enjoyed over 30 years of business and tried to make the most of the plot of land it is located on.

Facilities include a Toptracer Range and a great all-weather short-game area.

We arrived earlier than expected and decided to try out the menu. Our food was delicious and, randomly, one of the best jerk chicken meals I have tasted.
Although not the longest course, coming in at 5884 yards and having a Par of 69, this is no pushover. Almost all holes are treelined, and with several water hazards, one can not simply beast their way around.

Greens were quick and in good condition, but some tee boxes had seen better days.

Due to the flat nature of the surrounding area, there weren’t any noteworthy views.

Our favourite hole would have to be the 17th, a sweeping dogleg left Par 4 down of the few elevation changes to a bunker-guarded green. The Parc was a nice track to play with very friendly staff, and although once is probably enough for me, I am still happy to have experienced it.

We arrived at Parc about an hour early and it was lunchtime so we decided to sample what the kitchen had to offer. Despite the extensive menu, we both selected the jerk chicken off the specials menu, so I’m not able to provide a very extensive review but what we had was very tasty. The bar staff and pro-shop staff were very friendly.

Sitting eating out lunch we had a view of the short game practice area which looked impressive – it consisted of a large all weather astroturf sculpted green with areas for chipping and a separate section with a bunker with small target greens to aim for out of the bunker. There is a Toptracer driving range and also 2 driving nets near the first tee. I personally prefer practicing my short game on grass so didn’t use the short game practice area.

The course is not very long (5228 yards from the yellows par 69) but several doglegs force you to think about positional play off the tee. Even the big hitters will struggle to cut the corners on some of the doglegs due to well placed ponds and tall trees on the corners.

The short game area and new paths show that they are investing money into the course and I hope this continues as it has the potential to be a really nice course. The layout is good and there is an interesting mix of holes. The fairways and greens were ok but lacked the polish of some of the other courses in the area. It took us about half the round to acclimatise to the slow greens (which were definitely slower than the practice green).
