Wellington Golf CourseUna gran oferta de golf en la zona. Sur de Newcastle. Gran campo de golf. Campo abierto para el juego no dejando de tener una buena arboleda a sus alrededores. Muy Buen mantenimiento. Casa club acogedora.

Wellington Golf CourseAlways a nice reception at Wynyard. I run a small Society and we play here at least annually sometimes twice a year. Not a cheap club but we played in early December a few days after rain and over night frost. Only 1 temp. green and a few boggy bits (mainly at the edge of the fairways! but that is our fault) The Course, weather permitting, is always in great condition. The 4/2 ball deals makes it a bit more affordable and bacon buns and coffee are great.

Wellington Golf CourseIk werd uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen. De mannen uit de proshop gaven mij korting op de greenfee, omdat de greens waren gesneden. Ik kon een goeie golfset huren (Taylormade M1) en kreeg munten voor de range kado.
De range is erg goed verzorgd (zit ook de David Leadbetter academy). Minpunt was dat de range vanaf 150mtr naar beneden wegloopt, dus kan je je lange slagen niet goed zien landen.
De baan is zeer goed. Je hebt wel wat ruimte vanaf de tee, maar daarrnaast staan genoeg fairway bunkers om je bal op te vangen. Er staan veel (dure)huizen om de baan heen. The Wynyard is een soort besloten housing community.

18 holesThe championship, 18-hole Wellington Course - designed by Martin Hawtree - combines rolling parkland and mature woodland and has long been acknowledged by the European Tour. Set in over 200 acres of mature parkland on the exclusive Wynyard Estate near Teesside, The Wellington Course at Wynyard Golf Club streches 7000 yards from the back tee. The outstanding 18 hole, par 72 championship golf course includes sweeping fairways, panoramic views, elevation changes and over 80 bunkers to challenge the most experienced of golfers. In 2005 the Wellington Course was chosen to host the 2005 Seve Trophy between Great Britain and Ireland and Continental Europe.
