Pro: -Friendly reception. -Water bottle refill station at clubhouse. -Modest training facilities (small putting green, small driving range, compact short game practice area). It’s all there, but it’s modest. -Great fully-stocked pro shop. -Incredible golf course! What a gem! -Interesting layout with a lot of variation (long, short, narrow, wide, visible, blind, up down) and some very surprising holes. I absolutely love it! -A round of golf on this course is not just playing a round of golf, it is an adventure with unexpected twists and turns. -Huge bumps and undulations on the parched fairways (very dry summer). -The greens and the tee boxes were in a perfect condition. -Excellent maintenance. -Very peaceful. No noise. No buildings. No roads. Only nature. -Great views on the ocean from most holes. -Halfway tent with sandwiches, snacks and drinks. -Excellent communication via email to book a tee time. Con: -Very expensive greenfee. -No buggy, trolly or driving range balls included in the greenfee. They even tried to sell me a stroke saver. You would expect that all this would be included for this price.

St. Enedoc is certainly a course of great beauty matched by few others in England; but its teeth- and it has many! - can bite with painful consequences for even the single handicapper or better. Pros have been known to consider giving up the game after trying to defeat its vertiginous undulations, its blind shots, and its cruel slopes which can turn birdie chances into double or even triple bogies. You must ask a member to take you round on your first visit or you will come a cropper - however low your handicap. The views are incredible but don't be distracted; every shot demands one hundred percent attention. A truly great course!

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The course is in immaculate condition and plays tough as nails. „Only“ a par 69 but every hole presentations own challenges, be it the swirling wind that comes into play on most holes, unforgiving fescue, sloping fairways or Himalaya like sand dunes that you need to carry on hole 6 to reach the green in 2. I enjoyed the round a lot, it is a fair but tough test of golf.

Cornwallreis dag 1)

Linksgolf in stijl.
