Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire, also known as Bucks is a county in South East England. A large part of the Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, runs through the south of the county and attracts many walkers and cyclists from London. In this area older buildings are often made from local flint and red brick. Burnham Beeches is the oldest golf club in Buckinghamshire, designed by J.H. Taylor in 1891. With quite some lovely golf courses to choose from, including three just at Woburn Golf Club, a golf break to Buckinghamshire will not disappoint.

Denham Golf Club

A very warm and welcoming private members club. A classic Harry Colt design, with some deceptively difficult par-3s and tricky greens, particularly when they are running fast. And missing shots in the wrong places can prove very costly! Overall, an absolute delight to play - and a superb venue for the England Golf Women's County Finals in September 2021.

All 3 courses are amazing and a real treat to play on, I’ve been lucky to have gone with a member so manage to get a deal to play. Otherwise it would be exactly what it should be a treat. I genuinely rate these as some of the best courses. The duchess is a very tight course and not for the faint hearted stay on the fairway is the only advice that the Marshall gave us nev…

Beaconsfield Golf Club

Beaconsfield is a fantastic parkland course. It has a wide range of challenges with a good mix of longer and shorter holes. Also four strong par 3’s. It is in great condition and has a very friendly atmosphere. It also boasts great practice facilities with a full driving range, three short game greens and a large putting green. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an en…

We played the dutchess course, just the drive into woburn and you feel your playing somewhere special, the course it self was in superb condition, we found the most important shot was the tee shot you need to hit good shots because if your not in place you have know chance of a decent approach shot, would reccomend this course to everyone, the tree lined fairways and carp…

Prachtig statig clubhuis met top restaurant. Diverse stijlvolle zalen. Prima bediening. Alles heel klassiek. Het is een heel goed onderhouden parkbaan. Niet extreem moeilijk maar wel prachtig. Mede gezien de historie en status van de baan zeker de moeite waard om een keer te spelen.

Buckinghamshire Golf Club

This course has been owned by a Japanese firm. It is obvious that there are many Japanese members. The course has been sold to another company and now belongs to this person who owns many hotels in the neighborhood of London Heathrow Airport. Beyond your thought, it is located so no far from LHR. And you encounter many many Japanese amateur golfers, who are extremely poli…

Abbey Hill Golf Club
