The Home of golf. It’s as much about the history and the town as it is about the golf course. Just love the place.

The St Andrews Links is one of the best places for golf in the world. Old Course is underrated and everyone complaining about it wing boring. I cannot share this opinion. I have played there 14 times and met great on and off the course. Amazing atmosphere.

Dumbarnie Links

Clive Clark, who designed Castle Course in St Andrews found this piece of land for his and the newest championship course in Scotland close to Edinburgh and St. Andrews. Looking at the picture, you get a grasp how good the course is. Wonderful experience, thanks to David and all local staff to make the first round a wonderful experience.

Clubhouse not ready yet. Course just opened in May 2020. Improvised car park and container reception. Course great already and perfectly maintained. Wide fairways meandering through high dunes with unforgiving grass, large greens, very undulated, but looking much faster than they are. Deep bunkers with very soft sand. I recommend playing with a caddie. Very good practice …

Craighead Links

Craighead Links was famed American Gil Hanse's first solo design in Europe, and is a contemporary take on traditional links golf courses. Higher handicappers will love the vast scale on all the holes, making a majority of them feel very benign (difficult to lose balls on most holes), while lower handicappers will love the strategic element to all the holes. Summed up quic…

Great parkland course, the greens were slow but great putting surface, fairways wide but high ruff on both sides, the tees were in very good condition. We were met by some staff who were excellent friendly and gave us a few tips. No club house fire damage. Eat your heart out St Andrews old course.

Play golf in Fife

Fife, The Home of Golf, is a must-visit destination for every golfer. Fife is only a 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh Airport and is home to more than 40 excellent golf clubs. Many of the Fife golf courses were founded before 1900, but Fife is also home to some very new golf courses, like Dumbarnie Links which opened in 2020. When visiting Fife for a golf break, you have to visit St Andrews Links. If you are not able to play the Old Course, then at least try one of the other six courses of St Andrews. Other top Fife golf courses are: Kingsbarns Golf Links, Crail Golfing Society, Leven Links Golf Club and Fairmont St Andrews. The best golf courses in Fife are located around St Andrews and Leven. When in Fife and you want a break from golf - something we can't really imagine - then discover the ancient castles, explore golden beaches, learn about the history of whisky or swim with sharks! If you're flying in, you can choose from airports at Edinburgh to the south, Glasgow to the west or Dundee to the north. Edinburgh Airport is less than 30 minutes away so you'll be in Fife in no time. Dundee Airport is even closer and also has excellent road and rail links into Fife.
