Golf in Fife
Fife, The Home of Golf, is a must-visit destination for every golfer. Fife is only a 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh Airport and is home to more than 40 excellent golf clubs. Many of the Fife golf courses were founded before 1900, but Fife is also home to some very new golf courses, like Dumbarnie Links which opened in 2020.
When visiting Fife for a golf break, you have to visit St Andrews Links. If you are not able to play the Old Course, then at least try one of the other six courses of St Andrews. Other top Fife golf courses are: Kingsbarns Golf Links, Crail Golfing Society, Leven Links Golf Club and Fairmont St Andrews. The best golf courses in Fife are located around St Andrews and Leven.
When in Fife and you want a break from golf - something we can't really imagine - then discover the ancient castles, explore golden beaches, learn about the history of whisky or swim with sharks!
If you're flying in, you can choose from airports at Edinburgh to the south, Glasgow to the west or Dundee to the north. Edinburgh Airport is less than 30 minutes away so you'll be in Fife in no time. Dundee Airport is even closer and also has excellent road and rail links into Fife.
